Happy Wedding!

We had a great time at Lindsey and Scott's wedding this past Saturday. They chose to have a small, intimate affair at my parent's house and the evening was really relaxed and lovely. Maddy is excited to officially have an Uncle Scott!





Tomorrow is a historic day...and I'm not talking about the inauguration of Barak Obama (although that is indeed breathtakingly exciting). Tomorrow I turn thirty! This birthday really sneaked up on me. Usually I am counting down by the beginning of December, but this year there has been so much going on that I've had little time to devote to birthday dreaming and scheming. Rather than celebrating with lots of hoopla and fanfare, I will ring in my new year by sleeping as much as I can. My parents have agreed to take Maddy for the night (possibly the last time they will do such a thing...do they know what they're in for?!) and I will get a full night's sleep for the first time in many, many months. I can't think of a better gift!

As for Maddy, she is now 15.5 weeks old and smiling and talking more than ever. We'll have to update the blog with a video soon...
