32 Weeks, a Haircut, and a Road Trip

We've officially made it to 32 weeks! I got my haircut this afternoon, and when it was time to book the next appointment I realized that by the time I go back to the salon the baby will have arrived. In spite of the fact that the appointment could coincide with my second week postpartum (and that assumes the baby arrives on time), I went ahead and booked it. I couldn't decide if I was being optimistic or just plain naive when I told the receptionist, "I could probably use the couple of hours away from the baby anyway!"

Ethan leaves in just over an hour for his 12 day road trip to Iowa. He is heading there with our friend Brian for our other friend Adam's wedding. Being that I was unable to make the trip (mostly due to the fact that I head back to school on Monday and that Adam's wedding happens to be the same day as our friend Scott's wedding, and we felt we needed to "represent" at both), it has turned into a marathon baseball extravaganza. As of right now, I believe that they will see four different games in as many cities. Ethan promises to keep us updated on his ventures, and has been hard at work these past few hours ensuring that my life will be as easy as possible while he's away. I will miss him a lot, but will try to update the post with news of his journey as well as my return to school.

More to follow!
