If January could come in like a lion, this one certainly did! We enjoyed the Winter Wonderland effect of the recent snowfall and had a chance to get outside and play a bit over the weekend. It was much more fun in theory than in practice; we decided that winter hikes are probably best done AFTER the snow stops falling (those flakes kept blowing into our faces), and getting Maddy all bundled up in her snow gear took more time than our outdoor adventure. That being said, she was very fascinated and it was fun to watch her investigate. This was our second big snowfall of the year; the first occurred a few weeks ago, but both Maddy and I weren't feeling well at the time and thus stayed indoors. Now that winter has arrived full force, we are looking forward to getting a little sled and pulling the little lady around town. She is also a riot to watch in her boots; having just started walking, wearing them sends her off kilter and IF she manages to even stand herself up in them, she doesn't stay erect for long!
